A Mexican customer started with one RUNTX CPD20 2-ton electric forklift as a trial order. After receiving and inspecting the machine, the customer shared positive feedback and plans to expand the fleet with five 3–5 ton electric forklifts next month.
For many first-time equipment buyers, especially small distributors, contractors and independent warehouse operators, the safest way to start working with a new supplier is not to place a large fleet order immediately. It is to begin with one machine, check the actual build quality and operation after delivery, and then decide whether the supplier is suitable for a larger purchase.
That was exactly the approach taken by one of our customers in Mexico.
The customer initially ordered one RUNTX CPD20 2-ton 4-wheel electric forklift as a trial unit. After the machine arrived, the customer sent us two real-site photos during the initial receiving and inspection stage.
The photographs were taken before the forks and final working setup had been fully installed, but the customer had already checked the machine itself and shared positive feedback with our team. Following this first delivery, the customer also told us that they plan to place a further order for five 3–5 ton electric forklifts next month.
For RUNTX, that kind of feedback is especially meaningful because it reflects what many smaller buyers actually want from a first order: a manageable starting quantity, a machine they can inspect themselves, and the option to scale up only after the first unit meets expectations.

Starting with One CPD20 Instead of a Large Fleet Order
The CPD20 used in this project is a 2-ton 4-wheel electric counterbalance forklift. It sits in a practical capacity range for warehouse handling, general logistics, workshop use and everyday pallet movement.
According to the current RUNTX specification, the CPD20 2 Ton 4-Wheel Electric Forklift has a rated capacity of 2,000 kg, a 500 mm load center and a standard lifting height of 3,000 mm. The 4-wheel chassis is designed to provide stable handling while remaining compact enough for regular industrial work.
For a customer evaluating a new supplier, this capacity class also makes sense as an initial purchase. It is large enough to perform meaningful daily work, but it does not require the buyer to commit to a high-value heavy-duty machine before they have verified the supplier’s production, delivery and after-sales communication.
Real Customer Photos After Delivery
The photos from Mexico were not taken in a showroom or during factory production. They were taken at the customer’s site after the machine had arrived.
In the images, the CPD20 can be seen with its RUNTX branding clearly visible while the customer carries out the initial inspection and operating check. The forks had not yet been fitted for normal working use when the photographs were taken, so these images represent the receiving and setup stage rather than the final working configuration.
This kind of feedback is valuable because it documents an actual international delivery rather than only the machine before export.
The Mexican customer received the CPD20 trial unit, completed the initial machine inspection and shared positive feedback. Based on the first order, the customer indicated plans to purchase five additional 3–5 ton electric forklifts in the following month.

Why a Trial Order Can Be a Smart Way to Evaluate a Forklift Supplier
For smaller buyers, the first machine is often less about getting the lowest possible price and more about reducing purchasing risk.
A trial order allows the buyer to check details that are difficult to judge from quotations alone: welding and paint finish, mast operation, electrical response, operator controls, packaging quality, documentation and communication after shipment.
If the first machine performs as expected, the buyer can then expand into larger capacity classes with much more confidence.
That is particularly relevant in this case because the customer’s next planned purchase moves beyond the original 2-ton unit into the 3–5 ton electric forklift range. A larger electric fleet gives the customer more capacity for heavier pallets and industrial materials while maintaining the quiet operation and zero tailpipe emissions associated with electric counterbalance forklifts.
The current RUNTX 1–3 ton 4-wheel electric series also includes CPD25 and CPD30 models, so buyers who outgrow the 2-ton class can step into higher capacities while staying within the same general electric forklift platform.
From One Machine to a Larger Electric Forklift Fleet
A repeat order is never something we treat as automatic. The customer’s stated plan for five additional machines is a future purchasing intention and will still depend on final capacity selection, configuration and commercial confirmation.
However, the progression from one CPD20 trial unit to a planned 3–5 ton fleet shows an important purchasing pattern for independent businesses and regional distributors.
Instead of taking the risk of ordering several unfamiliar machines at once, the buyer can start with a 1 Unit MOQ, evaluate the equipment locally and then expand the order according to actual demand.
For RUNTX, this is one reason we continue to support single-unit factory-direct purchasing alongside small-batch wholesale orders. A buyer who needs only one machine should not have to purchase an unrealistic quantity simply to access direct factory supply.

A Practical Purchasing Path for Small Businesses and Dealers
This Mexico project reflects how many of our customers prefer to build a supplier relationship: start small, inspect the real machine, then increase purchasing volume once the equipment and service have been verified.
For end users, this approach keeps the initial investment manageable. For distributors and rental companies, it also provides an opportunity to test local market demand before holding multiple units in stock.
RUNTX supports factory-direct electric forklift orders, OEM/ODM requirements and small-batch fleet purchasing. Buyers who need different lifting capacities can also discuss mixed orders rather than purchasing every machine in the same tonnage.
